The members of the BC Sun Coast Amateur Radio Club Society are working closely with other volunteer organizations and the Sunshine Coast Regional District Government to provide radio communications in case of an emergency. This Ham Radio Club also provides activities and events to help members socialize with each other and promote their use of radio communication.
The club maintains 2 VHF repeaters and one UHF repeater on the Sunshine Coast. Visit this site to familiarize yourself with the club activities.
Some Club History
By the year 1985 the Sunshine Amateur Radio Club was in operation. Regular meetings were held in members homes. The following is a list of the early members of that era:
