Sunshine Coast Amateur Radio Repeaters –
December 16, 2010
The UHF repeater is now operational at the Selma Park location.

The new antenna tower is not completely ready yet. Today, the anchor bolts were set in cement. We are hoping to have the new tower up by next Tuesday. Don (VE7DNK) has just completed the hook-up of the UHF repeater. The next photo shows the tower in ready position:

We still have to transfer the top pipe to the tower, install the coax and new C9 antenna. The guy wires will then be set in place once the tower is cranked up.
The repeater works well in the Sechelt area, however, the signal is quite broken up in Roberts Creek. In Gibsons, the repeater cannot be heard. It is expected that with the new antenna, both repeaters can be linked.
